Initial Registration / Reservation

 

 

Initial registration for the Julian Family Fiddle Camp is simple, requiring the completion and our receipt of your "Application Form" and a non-refundable deposit of $50 per applicant.  Please note that your application provides us with necessary details, and our receipt of your deposit reserves your space at the camp.  By clicking on one of the icons to the left, you can view and print out the application form.  You may also complete and send an on-line application by clicking on the highlighted link below.

Address for mailing or faxing printed applications is noted on the application forms themselves.   Please note that payment of deposits and remaining fees must be done via check to the address noted on the forms. 

 

Complete Registration

 

Complete registration involves filling out and returning a signed "Release Form" and, if relevant, a "Chaperone Agreement Form".  The "Release Form" and "Chaperone Agreement Form" may be viewed by clicking on the related icons to the left.  

 

Early Payment Discount

 

Space is limited at the camp.  While reservation is made through receipt of your application and associated deposit, priority is established according to the date FULL payment is received.   There are significant discounts for early payment of fees, with these clarified in the following "Fee Schedule" section.

 

 

Family Discount

 

There is a discount for those with more than one family member attending the camp.  The Family Discount is clarified in the following "Fee Schedule" section.

Fee Schedule*

 

The base fee of $510 entitles an adult participant to be a part of all instructional classes and tutorials offered at the Julian Family Fiddle Camp, plus a bunk in one of the cabins at Camp Cedar Glen, meals for the duration of the camp, and entry to the evening dances, and concerts held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the camp facility.   This fee many be adjusted based on the camper's age, choice of accommodation, whether or not he/she is part of a family group attending the camp, and the date the determined fee is fully paid. 

 

There are two different fees for accommodations.  One is for reserving and staying in one of the camp's bunk houses, and the other for either parking your RV or pitching your tent in the designated area at the facility.  Those who choose to commute from a nearby location are charged the same as those who are camping on site in an RV or tent (Sorry, but we cannot offer a fee reduction for commuters or those who choose to eat elsewhere).

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of $50 per person is required in order to reserve  space at the camp, with this equally applying to those particpating in instruction and those not participating in instruction.  Please know that accomodations are limited, with bed, RV and tent space allocations made according to availability and in order/date reservation fee is received.

Discounts are offered for additional family members attending camp, and for those making early full payments as per the schedule noted below:

Family Member Discount   5% per- person after first full-fee adult
Early Payment Discounts 10% - of balance when received before December 31, 2011
  5% - of balance when received before January 15, 2012
 
Refunds

Refunds less deposit will be made only upon cancellation made in writing with confirmed receipt prior to March 1st, 2012.  Deposits are non-refundable.

SAMPLE CALCULATION

 

A family of 4 seeks to come to the camp and stay in the bunkhouse facilities.  The family includes a 16 yr-old who will participate in instruction, a 9 yr-old sibling that will participate in instruction, his mother who will not participate in instruction, and a father who will not participate in instruction.  The cost is determined as follows:
